"I have never had such a caring and concerned professor
as Professor Nespoli. She always took the last few minutes of class to make sure everyone feels comfortable with the course material and answers any and all questions. She always comes to class joyful and excited which makes class very fun and enjoyable. Her class is never boring. She grades homework and exams right away and responds to my emails immediately. If students did badly on an exam, she would email them to schedule a time to meet to go over their mistakes and help them. She truly wants her students to succeed which is very inspiring."

She is great at explaining grammar rules and providing practice prompts. She carefully planned her lessons. She seems to have experience teaching and knows how to present the material to the class. She was always available to help after class and during office hours. She gave excellent review sessions. She has a great voice, speaks loud enough and pronounces all the words very clearly, so they register very well in my brain. She answers her e-mails quickly and provided useful feedback. "This is my second quarter with Marianna and I'm hoping for a third. Yes, Marianna is a fabulous teacher, but what makes her so special is her dedication and respect for her students. Marianna puts her student's growth and learning first, but she also makes sure that their wellbeing isn't sacrificed in the process. She welcomes open and honest communication and understands that there are days or weeks where her students have bigger priorities than school. That's not to say she doesn't push us or hold us accountable; she just recognizes that her students' education is as much her own responsibility as theirs. I most appreciated her honest approach to her teaching. She wasn't afraid to admit she made a mistake. I truly only have kind things to say about Marianna as an educator and a person."

HONEST APPROACH TO TEACHING
"After completing this course series (level 1, 2, and 3)
with the same professor, I would like to highlight how useful and innovative my professor was in times of the pandemic and shift to online teaching. The shift to virtual learning was not easy, however, the professor's reliability and consistent efforts to try different studying methods aided the transition heavily. The course overall was difficult, however, was doable due to the organized and strategic teaching methods used by this professor. Through levels 1, 2, and 3 I was able to academically grow and understand the subject matter with context to
real-world examples and scenarios, thanks to the professor and her teaching style, good communication skills,
and organized class structure."

"Marianna is a wonderful teacher. She is very clear, shows genuine concern that we understand the material and of her students in general. Classes are very fun and interesting; I especially enjoy "Cinema Days" and Jeopardy games because I feel they provide us a better opportunity to speak Italian conversationally, rather than reviewing homework and grammar (which we are prepared for what to say beforehand by doing the homework). Overall, I would recommend Marianna's class and think her abilities/capability as a teacher is beyond expectations."
